Set the remote Web site properties

Expression Web and SharePoint Designer 2007

  1. On the?File?menu, click?Publish Site.
  2. On the?Remote Web Site?tab, under?Remote Web server type, click?FTP.
  3. In the?Remote Web site location?box, type the address of the remote Web site to which you want to publish folders and files. Include the FTP protocol.?
    For example, type?ftp://example.com.?
    Or, click?Browse, and then locate the site.
  4. If you want to view a specific folder when you connect to the site, type the path of the folder in the?FTP directory?box.?
    For example, type public_html
  5. Enter your hosting account username and password.
  6. Use one of the following procedures:
    • Remove specific types of code from Web pages as they are being published. To do this, select the options that you want on theOptimize HTML?tab.
    • Change the default options for publishing. To do this, select the options that you want on the?Publishing?tab.
  7. Click?OK.
