Logaholic Summary Overview

The Summary Overview group of reports provides summary statistics for analyzing the performance of your website, such as the most frequently visited pages, the most frequent countries and cities your website traffic comes from, and the most common weekday and time of day for visits to your website.

The?Today Overview (or Dashboard) provides you with a multiple-report, one-day snapshot of your site's performance. The Date Range selector for the Today Overview report allows you to choose only between "Today," "Yesterday," or to enter a single date into both the "to" and "from" fields.

The individual Summary Overview reports, such as?Visitors per Day and?Visitors per Month, are similar to the reports included on the?Today Overview Dashboard. However you can include a greater range of dates in the individual overview reports, giving you more data to evaluate for a longer period of time. The?Date Range Tool. allows you to choose from one of the ten preset date ranges from the "QuickDate" drop-down menu (e.g. "Today," "This Month," "Last 30 Days," etc.) or to enter a specific date range in the "from" and "to" fields. This way, you can run the same report for different date ranges and see how your website traffic or the performance of individual pages has changed over time.

Also, the individual Summary Overview reports that you run from the Navigation pane include a?Help button just to the right of the report name which is not included in the Today Overview Dashboard. Clicking?Help expands to show additional tips for running that particular report, more information about the data presented in the report, as well an explanation of the terms used in the report.

Summary Reports

The reports in this category give you a summarized overview of your website's performance.

Today Overview

The?Today Overview page serves as your Web Analytics Dashboard. By default, the Today Overview page includes eight individual summary reports that provide a quick view of the current state of your site?s performance. However you can customize the page to include other reports, limit the overview to only a few key reports, or change the order in which the reports appear by clicking?"Customize Page.? The purpose of the Dashboard is to allow you to create a customized quick view of the performance of your website for a selected day.

Workspace

The Logaholic Workspace stores a static cached version of all of the reports you created earlier, so that you can compare multiple reports with different settings, such as date range, segmentation, etc., selected when the report was created. These reports are available until you select Delete the Cache. For this feature to work, you need to select "Report Cache"?ON, on the?advanced tab of the profile settings.

Visitors per Day / Month / Hour / Days of Week

The "Visitors" summary reports all show the totals for unique visitors for the selected period of time. It's important to understand that a visitor may be unique within a particular day, but not necessarily for a reviewed hour. In other words, adding the total of unique visitors in the?Visitors per Hour report for a day will not necessarily equal the total of unique visitors you will find on the same day's?Visitors Per Day report.
All four of these reports summarize the total of unique visitors that accessed your site (excluding any bots and crawlers), the total number of pages requested (excluding any bots and crawlers), and the Average number of pages per user

Top Countries \ Cities

The Top Countries/Cities report shows the most frequent country locations from which your visitors came to your site, including the countries and cities, if that information is available. Please note that in order to run these geographical reports, you will need to install the?Geolitecity.dat. Please see the?Set up Wizzard for information on installing the geographical data.
The table below the geographic display lists the country name, visitors, pages, and pages per user for each country. Move the mouse over a country to see the Visitors, Pages, and Pages per User for that country. Click on a continent to zoom in and see the totals for that continent, then click on an individual country to see the totals for that country. The Heat (World) Map colors bright red for locations that are densely populated with visitors to your site, less brighter colors indicate less visitors from that area to your site. The Graphical Report may be run from 3 different prospectives: Visitors, Pageviews and Pages per user.
